He has you grab her statute off that geyser just so you can stare at a book. The only problem I have with this is that old dirty man Krotoun at Hakonesia Peak. After all, he went through all this trouble for Frank to spend time with Spirtua, but not for him to spend time with Anna, and now look, Anna is dead. It also explains why Kratos did not want to help Remiel either. It's typical Lloyd- slash first, ask questions later. Especially about the idea of Remiel getting steamrolled by Lloyd. Originally posted by Zeno:I recently started up my millionth playthrough and I found myself wondering very similar questions, I want to think that the whole "born with a cruxis crystal in colette's hand" is just a false belief the weirdos of iselia believe in, but assuming it's true. Unfortunately it goes a little too far, Colette goes into a state of shock, Remial gets steamrolled by an angry Lloyd and that's the end of that. He wants to help Frank spend some quality time with his wife, so he becomes a magician and gets really good at performing light shows, using a bow, and can even make it look like he teleports. I think becoming an angel is just an inherant genetic trait, and not something that is given to you.įinally, Remial is nothing but a bro to Frank. Look at Zelos, he didn't break any seals at all, but if you pick the Kratos route and fight Zelos he's suddenly already gone through his angel transformation. Frank, wanting to spend some quality time with spiritua sends Colette on this wild goose chase where she thinks she's becoming an angel through the completion of tasks/seals, when it's really just genetics and good timing. Spiritua, wanting to live a normal life after her journey, needs to stay hidden because if anyone knows she's alive it'll probably start chaos and panic around the world. If Frank had a child with Spiritua, I'm sure they could easily figure out a way to make it seem like Colette was born with a cruxis crystal in her hand, or maybe even create such an event. Angels like Kratos are proven to be able to live for 1000s of years, so after spiritua's transformation, she should be able to do the same. Not only that, but I think she's Colette's real mother. I think Frank is an angel, and Spiritua, the first chosen ever (who was successful in her journey) is still alive. I believe Colette's angel transformation would have happened either way, and it's just coincidence/placebo that it happened around the times that it did.

I find it very hard to believe remial had any effect at all on Colette's angel transformation. Now, we also come to see that Remial is very weak in comparison to the other angels in the Tower of Salvation.

He's perfectly okay with everything that happens, colette leaving on a journey that means certain death, not being colette's father (even though he is, or so we think).

I think there's more to it.įrank has the ability to heal you to full health early in the game, that's pretty impressive, considering Raine can't even do that until very late in the game. I recently started up my millionth playthrough and I found myself wondering very similar questions, I want to think that the whole "born with a cruxis crystal in colette's hand" is just a false belief the weirdos of iselia believe in, but assuming it's true. Either way you cut it, that's pretty weird.Īnyway, I realize I'm thinking way too much into this, but it's a bit irksome when you think about it. In any case, someone put the crystal on Colette while she was still in her mother sometime. So, does he actually believe that Remiel impregnated his wife? And if so, what does that imply about Colette's mother and Frank's current position? Is the reason he is so passive in game because he was so passive in his marriage while his wife ran around on him? Is that why he is so keen to believe that Remiel literally had an affair with his wife? Perhaps Frank really isn't Colette's father after all, and maybe she was running around on him with other men, and so he easily believed Colette was Remiel's son. You don't know, because you never learn much about Frank. Like, either he is going along with everyone and willing to lie to his own daughter about being her father, or he himself actually buys into it. Frank even starts calling Remiel her father. Everyone starts calling Remiel Colette's father. All you do know is that someone somehow got a Cruxis Crystal onto Colette before she was born.įast forward. She could be dead or she could have left Frank you simply don't know. You never see Colette's mother, you only see Frank. Like, Frank is a really under-explored character.
